During this holiday season, two companies have decided to put their heads together and come up with the ideal “gift” that is perfect for everyone, quite revolutionary if I do say so myself.
Lakewood Towing Services and Asian Guy Motors have teamed up in a collaborative effort to combine their knowledge of automobiles, automobile safety, and technology, to create a state of the art, one-of-a-kind app aimed towards completely eradicating drunk driving from our society.
“The Integral Collaborative Sobriety App, or ICSA for short, was designed with the safety of all human beings in mind.
This app will revolutionize the way we look at the relationship between alcohol and motorized vehicles, or more specifically, driving a motorized vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
ICSA was designed with two faces. The first face focuses on the human side; monitoring the alcohol levels inside the body, monitoring heart rate, blood pressure, blood sugar and more.
The second face focuses on the motorized vehicle. The app connects to the on-board computer system inside your vehicle, and when the human side of the app detects that you have alcohol in your system, it sends a signal to the face of the app that controls your vehicle, and shuts it down, preventing you from driving.
The app continues to monitor your alcohol levels, and once the alcohol has completely left your body and you are safely able to operate a motorized vehicle, the app re-engages your vehicles functionality and you’re able to drive again”, said Tommy French, CEO of Lakewood Towing Services, when asked how his app plans to battle drunk driving.
Lakewood Towing Services and Asian Guy Motors both say that this is only the beginning. They plan on releasing the app January 1st, and as it is already anticipated to make big waves, these companies don’t plan to stop there.
They want to see ICSA become a standard app with all smartphones, as well as a standard installation in all vehicles.
Only time will tell if their vision becomes a reality, but from where I’m sitting, this certainly looks like one dream with amazing potential.
